Exciting Weekend in Turin, Italy, You Don’t Want to Miss!

ATP Finals has come to the semi-finals round this Saturday with the winners and runners up from both groups fighting to win the beautiful trophy with huge prize money in the pocket.

The winner of the Green group, Casper Rudd, will play the runner up of the Red group, Andrey Rublev, while the five times champion here, Novak Djokovic, will play Taylor Fritz, the lucky player who qualified for this tournament because the World No. 1, Carlos Alcaraz, had suffered injury in the Paris Master event and withdrawn from this event. Fritz came out second of the group with 2 wins and 1 loss as the runner up of the Green group. Rudd, the winner of the Green group, lost his last match of round-robin to Nadal 5-7, 5-7. Nadal is still unsuccessful in pursuing the trophy of the ATP Finals this year with 2 losses and 1 win in round-robin.

Djokovic, the winner of the Red group, was tested hard by Mevedev to win 3 close sets, 6-3, 6-7, 7-6 in the last match of round-robin but he is the only player who came out with 3 matches win straight in round-robin.

Semi Finals Prediction:

Novak Djokovic vs Taylor Fritz:

Djokovic is 5-0 head to head over Fritz. All their meetings were in 2019-2021. This match should be the first for this year and Fritz has improved his performance significantly this year by clinching 3 titles, especially Indian Wells Master 1000 won over Nadal. His big serves and back hand shots on the fast surface of this event really help him a lot to use as weapons against his opponents. But the 21 Grand Slam Champions and five times ATP Finals champion could find the ways to handle and neutralize his weapons and win the match eventually.

Djokovic wins in 2 sets

Casper Rudd vs Andrey Rublev:

Both players had a very good year this year by winning a couple of titles, 3 for Rudd and 4 for Rublev. And they played each other from 2019-2021 for five times with Rublev winning 4 and Rudd winning 1. Rublev has bigger serves and shots compared to Rudd who could rally and incredibly move his opponent around the court. If Rublev could use his big weapons accurately and consistently to shorten the rally, he could win his way to the final.

Rublev wins in 3 sets

Enjoy Tennis everyone!!!
